Current focus

Multilingual systems that are useful on day one.

  • NLP workflows for Hausa and related languages
  • Accessible product design for healthcare and education
  • Tools that combine research rigor with real users
Research note

I design language systems that can be used in clinics, classrooms, and low-resource environments.

Bridging technology, research, and African languages

The goal is not just to translate interfaces. It is to build systems that respect how people actually communicate.

I’m a computational linguist and AI researcher focused on making technology more useful for African language speakers.

My work spans natural language processing, machine learning, language data development, and product design. I create tools that understand, process, and generate African languages—especially Hausa—while keeping the experience practical and accessible.

I care about products that can survive in the real world: healthcare documentation, education platforms, chat experiences, and research systems that are maintainable, inclusive, and grounded in community needs.
